NEWP, founding member of VEXML, is the lead developer and systems designer. He has been VJing for 10 years, invested 20 years in music technology, and has a lifetime of musical influence with a father who toured and always encouraged the lifestyle.
NEWP began his journey with Technology as performance medium in Music. Developing system workflows that optimize flow state interactions with video production software/hardware for musical performances has been the focus of NEWP’s career.
NEWP is a renowned Festival House VJ turned touring VJ and has been a resident at places like Big Dub, Nightmare, and Camp Bisco. He has performed with reknowned artists such as Wreckno, Maddie O'Neal, and Daily Bread. He went on tour with the CloZee team for four years and is presently with the Liquid Stranger crew.
FIRECAT, founding member of VEXML, is the team’s UX/UI designer, brand creator, and the person who inspired NEWP to bring .svg to .xml conversion to life.
FIRECAT began her artistic journey as an illustrator which she studied in college. She first entered the entertainment world as a flow performer. Since then she has held her own festival, Quasar Festival, launched a festival merch store, and created the first and largest light whip community.
FIRECAT first became a VJ about 5 years ago. Her goals are to disrupt, innovate, and
collaborate. She has run visuals at events such as Wakaan, Sound Haven, and Infrasound. She’s
performed with reknowned artists such as Supertask, Resonant language, And Desert Dwellers. You
